The 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man (RSM) Competition
The 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man (RSM) competition took place in Moscow, Russia, on October 26, 2024. The event featured 11 of the country’s top strongmen competing across five challenging events: Log Lift, Farmer’s Walk & Yoke Medley, Truck Pull, Conan’s Wheel, and a thrilling Stone-Off between the top two athletes.
In the end, it was Dmitrii Skosyrskii who emerged victorious, narrowly defeating Alexander Klokov in the decisive Stone-Off by a single rep to claim the 2024 RSM title. Skosyrskii amassed an impressive 51 points, followed by Klokov with 45 points and Valentin Akimov in third place with 37.5 points.
Exceptional Displays of Strength and Endurance
The competition was marked by exceptional displays of strength and endurance. In the Log Lift event, Skosyrskii lifted the 150-kilogram log six times, while Petr Martynenko and a trio of athletes tied for third with four reps each. The Farmer’s Walk & Yoke Medley saw Klokov blaze through the 400-kilogram yoke and 150-kilogram farmer’s walk in an astonishing 27.74 seconds, outpacing Skosyrskii’s 33.87-second performance.
In the Truck Pull, Klokov was the fastest, completing the 22,000-kilogram pull in 51.06 seconds, but Skosyrskii’s 58-second effort was enough to secure him valuable points. The Conan’s Wheel event required the athletes to traverse the 255-kilogram apparatus, with Skosyrskii covering the most distance at 19 sectors.
The Thrilling Stone-Off
The culmination of the competition was the thrilling Stone-Off between Skosyrskii and Klokov, where the former outlasted the latter by a single rep in hoisting the 180-kilogram Atlas stone, clinching the 2024 RSM title.
