Strongman Legend Hafthór Björnsson Reclaims Iceland’s Strongest Man Title with Dominant Performance
In an anticipated return to the competition stage, renowned strongman Hafthór Björnsson emerged victorious at the 2024 Iceland’s Strongest Man (ISM) contest, held on August 10-11, 2024. The eight-time WSM champion and 10-time consecutive ISM titleholder reclaimed his crown in dominant fashion, scoring an impressive 45 out of a possible 48 points.
Björnsson’s triumph marked his 11th ISM title, solidifying his status as an icon in the world of strongman athletics. The competition featured a formidable lineup of Iceland’s strongest, including the likes of Pálmi Gudfinnsson, Hilmar Örn Jónsson, and Kári Kristófer Elíasson, among others.
