Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Laura Horvath Dominate 2024 Rogue Invitational with Consecutive Wins

Strongman Superstars Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Laura Horvath Dominate with Consecutive Event Wins at 2024 Rogue Invitational

The 2024 Rogue Invitational, a premier strongman competition, witnessed a remarkable display of athletic prowess as Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Laura Horvath both put together an impressive streak of consecutive event wins.

Toomey-Orr, the renowned CrossFit Games champion, kicked off the event by winning the first four competitions. Not to be outdone, Horvath then matched the feat, securing a quartet of her own victories. Toomey-Orr capped off the weekend by winning the final event, securing the top spot on the podium.

This was the second time Horvath has accomplished the milestone of four consecutive event wins at the Rogue Invitational. In 2022, she became the first athlete to achieve this remarkable feat in the competition’s history.

The ability to win four events in a row is exceptionally rare, even at the prestigious CrossFit Games. Only twice in the 18-year history of the competition have athletes managed to accomplish this: Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr each won six consecutive events at the 2020 CrossFit Games.

Looking back at CrossFit Games history, five athletes have won three events in a row, all of whom have been crowned the Fittest on Earth. This includes Kristan Clever in 2010, Jason Khalipa in 2013, and Rich Froning in 2013 and 2014.

Horvath’s accomplishments extend beyond the Rogue Invitational, as she won the “Olympic Total” event at the 2023 CrossFit Games and followed it up by winning the first two events on the final day, ultimately securing the title of Fittest on Earth.

Toomey-Orr’s dominance is equally impressive, with six consecutive event wins in 2020 and an additional five three-event win streaks at the CrossFit Games.

The performances of Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Laura Horvath at the 2024 Rogue Invitational were truly unprecedented. In a field of the world’s best athletes, such a remarkable feat of consecutive event wins has only been achieved once before, at the 2010 CrossFit Games.
