Tom Stoltman Reclaims World’s Strongest Man Title in Thrilling Competition
Strongman Dominance Continues for Scottish Athlete
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, Scottish strongman Tom Stoltman reclaimed his title as the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) in an electrifying competition held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Stoltman’s remarkable performance secured his third WSM crown (2021-2022), solidifying his status as one of the sport’s most dominant figures.
“Stoltman’s victory marks a return to the top for the 29-year-old, who had finished second in the 2023 WSM competition to Canada’s Mitchell Hooper. However, Stoltman’s remarkable run in the 2024 edition has once again solidified his position as the undisputed king of strongman competitions.”
The 2024 WSM Final saw Stoltman tie or place higher in all three events on the first day, setting the stage for his triumph on the final day. With a score of 53 out of a possible 60 points, Stoltman never finished lower than third in any of the Final events, showcasing his unparalleled consistency and strength.
Throughout his career, Stoltman has amassed an impressive array of accolades, including three appearances at the prestigious Arnold Strongman Classic, where he secured a third-place finish in 2024. Additionally, he has eight event wins at the Giants Live competitions, including a first-place finish at the 2023 World Tour Finals.
Stoltman’s success has not been limited to the international stage; he has also dominated the British Strongman scene, winning three gold medals, one silver, and one bronze at the Britain’s Strongest Man competition between 2017 and 2024. The Scotsman has also been a force to be reckoned with at Scotland’s Strongest Man, winning back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.
With this latest triumph, Stoltman becomes the first Briton to win three WSM titles, breaking a 37-year drought for the United Kingdom. Accompanied by his older brother Luke, who also made it to the 2024 WSM Final, Tom Stoltman will return home as the undisputed king of strongman, with his rivals eager to reclaim the title in the years to come.
