Strongman Enthusiasts Eagerly Await the 2024 Musclecontest Sao Paulo Pro
The strongman community is buzzing with excitement as the 2024 Musclecontest Sao Paulo Pro is set to take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This prestigious IFBB Pro League event will feature eight talented athletes, each vying for a coveted spot at the 2024 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas, NV, scheduled for October 10-13, 2024.
The lineup boasts a strong contingent of Brazilian strongmen, with seven out of the eight competitors hailing from the host country. The full roster includes Fabiano Andrade, Wanderson Chaves, Rodrigo Coelho, Paulo Henrique, Livingstone Livenho, Gabriel Pereira, Andersen Physique, and Francisco Silva.
Fans will be keeping a close eye on several standout athletes.
Rodrigo Coelho
Rodrigo Coelho, a Masters competitor who also enters Open shows, placed seventh at the 2024 Tri-City Classic Pro in Columbus, GA, just a month before this event. Despite missing the top 15 at the Charlotte Pro, he could excel in the smaller lineup and closer-to-home setting of the Sao Paulo Pro.
Livingstone Livenho
Livingstone Livenho, who finished third at the 2024 Arnold South America, is making his second professional appearance. If he can improve upon his previous outing, he will undoubtedly be in the mix for the win and a coveted Olympia qualification.
Fabiano Andrade
Additionally, Fabiano Andrade could be a dark horse in this competition. While he has been competing in the pro ranks since 2021 without a victory, he has been steadily improving with each contest, and his ninth-place finish at the 2024 Arnold South America event suggests he is on the right track.
This event is one of two Classic Physique shows scheduled for the day, with the other taking place at the 2024 New York Pro in Teaneck, NJ. The winner of the New York Pro will also secure a spot at the 2024 Olympia, provided they had not already qualified.
