Claire Myler Sets New Deadlift Record at Official Strongman Record Breakers Event

Strongwoman Claire Myler Makes History with Colossal 300KG Deadlift

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, strongwoman Claire Myler etched her name in the record books at the inaugural Official Strongman Record Breakers event in Derry, Ireland. Myler became the first Masters woman to successfully deadlift 300 kilograms (660 pounds), claiming the Masters Over 40 and Masters Over 50 world records in the process.

Myler’s record-breaking feat was captured on video by the Official Strongman Instagram page, showcasing the sheer power and determination required to complete the lift. Equipped with a lifting belt, straps, and a deadlift suit, Myler quickly pulled the bar from the floor to her knees, before engaging in a grueling battle to lock out the weight. Through sheer grit, she leaned forward and hitched the barbell to her hips, standing tall and triumphant as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Myler’s historic achievement was matched on the day by fellow strongwoman Sumer Johnson, who also claimed the U82 world record with an identical 300-kilogram deadlift.
