Victorious American Athlete Secures Impressive 47-Point Victory
The 2024 Strongman Champions League (SCL) Masters World Championships took place from June 8 to 9 in Kalajoki, Finland. Six Masters athletes competed in eight events over the two-day competition, including the Deadlift, Viking Press, Sandbag Toss, Frame Carry, Truck Pull, Overhead Medley, Sack Carry, and the Loading Race.
Emerging victorious was Matt Webb of the United States, who scored an impressive 47 out of a possible 48 points, winning seven events and ranking second in the only outlier.

Throughout the eight contested events, Webb demonstrated his dominance, excelling in the Deadlift, Viking Press, Sandbag Toss, Frame Carry, Overhead Medley, Sack Carry, and Loading Race. Other notable performances included Veli-Pekka Kauhanen’s victory in the Truck Pull and Jarkko Malinen’s strong showing across multiple disciplines.
