March 10, 2023 – The 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition is gearing up for a historic first-time location, as the prestigious event will be held in Saudi Arabia later this year. This marks the first time the World’s Strongest Man contest will take place outside of its traditional venues in the United States and Europe.

Dammam to Host the Prestigious Event

The 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition is slated to run from May 23rd to June 4th in the coastal city of Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This highly anticipated event will feature the world’s top strength athletes battling it out to be crowned the planet’s strongest person.

Grueling Strongman Challenges to Test Limits

Organized by the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) governing body, the competition will showcase a grueling series of strength-based events that test the limits of human physical capability. Competitors will engage in classic strongman challenges such as car deadlifts, atlas stone lifting, and mammoth truck pulls, all while vying for the coveted World’s Strongest Man title.

“We’re thrilled to bring the World’s Strongest Man competition to Saudi Arabia for the very first time,” said WSM President Steve Weinberger. “This is an exciting opportunity to showcase the sport of strongman on a global stage and introduce new fans to the incredible feats of strength performed by these elite athletes.”

45 Years of Strongman Legacy

The 2023 contest will mark the 45th edition of the World’s Strongest Man event, which was first held in 1977. Past winners have included legendary strongmen such as Bill Kazmaier, Magnus Ver Magnusson, and Brian Shaw, cementing the competition’s status as the pinnacle of strength sports.
